Sample Contract Agreement – Life on Film Photography (Jenni Girtman)

Photography fee agreed to: _________ (plus expenses – including but not limited to mileage, supplies, additional wedding albums, additional hours worked. You will be notified as expenses occur.) Rates for photography service are $200 per hour with half the balance due in advance to save the date. Deposit: Fifty percent or __________ is due at the signing of this agreement in order to hold the date. The balance of _________ is to be paid on the date of the wedding. Expenses: Life on Film Photography will notify, via email, of additional costs and procedures if they occur. WEDDING PACKAGE AND SERVICES INCLUDED FOR FEE STATED ABOVE: Package includes ____ hours of photography, _______ to ________ color corrected images will be posted to www.lifeonfilmphotography.com for viewing and purchase no less than 2 weeks (14 days) and no more than 3 weeks (21 days) after the date of wedding. One book of 20 pages (additional pages available for additional cost) as produced by www.shutterfly.com. RESERVATION: A signed contract and reservation fee (deposit) are required to reserve the date and specified coverage. PRE-EVENT CONSULTATION: The parties agree to a pre-event consultation two to three weeks before the event date in order to finalize the specific shooting times, itinerary, locations and request list (as provided to be filled out with priority indicated) for specific photographs. The bride and/or groom agrees to set aside at least one hour of time for formal photographs that cannot be obtained during the wedding. If late arrival prevents or limits formal photography, photographer shall not be held liable. SHOOTING TIME: The photography schedule is designed to accomplish the goals and wishes of the Client in a manner enjoyed by all parties. Client and Life on Film Photography agree that punctuality is therefore essential, shooting commences at the scheduled start time. HOUSE RULES: The photographer is limited by the guidelines of ceremony officials and/or reception site management. Client agrees to accept the technical results of imposition on the photographer. Negotiation with the officials for moderation of guidelines is the Client's responsibility; Life on Film Photography will offer technical recommendations only. LIMIT OF LIABILITY: In the unlikely event that the photographer is injured or becomes too ill to photograph the event, Life on Film Photography will make every effort to secure a replacement photographer. If the situation should occur and a suitable replacement is not found, responsibility and liability is limited to the return of all payments received for the event package. Life on Film Photography takes the utmost care with respect to exposure, transportation and processing the photographs. However, in the unlikely event that photographs have been lost, stolen, or destroyed for reasons within or beyond Life on Film Photography's control, Life on Film Photography liability is limited to the return of all payments received for the event package. The limit of liability for a partial loss of originals shall be a prorated amount of the exposures lost based on the percentage of total number of originals. SECURITY DEPOSITS: In the event of cancellation, the security deposit paid is non-refundable. It shall be liquidated damages to Life on Film Photography in the event of a breach of contract by Client. The Client shall also be responsible for payment for any of Life on Film Photography’s materials charges incurred up to time of cancellation. COMPLETION SCHEDULE: Processing and online posting takes approximately two weeks, no more than three weeks. Final proof of book is to be done and sent for production approximately six weeks after the event. PAYMENT SCHEDULE: Fifty percent is due at time of signing of agreement.
