Such beautiful vintage finery! This is a sumptuous Empire style with hand-applied rings of pearls to the floral lace appliques, fitted to the bust with slim sleeves that flare full to the forearms. Appliques predominate the front; the back has rich gathers along the Empire seam and an unadorned train in two layers. Skirt extends about three feet behind the bride. It's a classic Regency-inspired design from a renown label for bridal wear, with an original price of $300 from the mid-1960s. Measurements Bust 34.5, Raised Waist 29; Shoulder to Raised Waist 10, Shoulder to Train Hem 77, Front Waist to Front Hem 45.5 Inches Notable Name Priscilla of Boston Label ''Priscilla/ of Boston'' and ''Sallie''s'' at back bodice Materials Ecru silk organza in a dusky hue called 'lamb's wool' by Pantone, offwhite Alencon floral lace appliques, hand-sewn white faux pearls, ecru net, soft natural white cotton blend lining Closure Center back synthetic zipper with decorative self buttons to bodice Condition Detail Unworn, the silk is fragile and requires careful use, there are three 1-inch tears in the lower side/back skirt because of this fragility, and 4-5 small holes in train each about 1/4-inch or smaller; most can be removed if train is shortened Wear Recommendation Wearable with caution Washing Instructions Dry clean, preferably by hand, by a cleaner experienced with vintage clothing
