A most formal gown in very romantic lace, this mid-1960s design has a sheer Empire bodice and slightly raised collar, with sheer sleeves and a sweetheart neckline to the lining underneath. The sleeves and the entire front half of the gown is lace over organza, with a broad organza panel at the hem. The back is just as splendid, with a Watteau train in silk organza, richly gathered along the upper back. This gown is new-old stock, with a 1960s tag attached of $300.00 sale-priced to $75.00 about forty years ago.
