Exceptional brown clutch purse from the late 1930s to early 40s, specially designed by Lewis with brass "doorknobs" that function as a clasp as well as a Deco accent. This panne` velvet handbag must be touched to be truly appreciated, as its lush fabric is so soft, it's almost fur-like. It has rich gathers along the top edge and a roomy elongated shape, worn under the arm as a clutch. The interior is brown satin with pockets and an early brass coiled zipper.

Looks and feels pristine overall, has a scant few faint scratches to the brass knobs, the bottom few inches of the bag itself has a total of five 1/4-inch areas of pile loss, two slightly larger in other areas on opposing side of bag, all hard to perceive
