This rare 1940s purse is black patent leather with the look of a binoculars bag, kidney-shaped with top stitching and a sturdy base. It has a broad shoulder strap and a moire` taffeta lining with multiple pockets. Condition is wearable but a bit scuffed (see Condition Detail below), ideal for everyday. Late 30s to early 40s.

Condition Detail
Shows hints of regular use, the leather has occasional scuffs and scratches throughout, the base of the bag has approx 8-10 small nicks to the leather that shows gray underneath, the top stitching is missing a bit at the tab closure and in one brief spot at lid, a similar gap to the strap near its join to the bag, the top stitching that joins the tab closure to the body of the bag is missing and was carefully glued to hold
