Indian wedding sari silk fabric is a gorgeous brocade pattern in vivid emerald green shotcloth and brilliant metallic gold, with flickers of near-black undertones to the changeable, rustling fabric. The fabric is one continuous length over 6 yards long, with sections of stripes, geometrically placed leafy flourishes, and solid panels of verdant green. Edges have hand-knotted "tassels" loosely created from the raw silk fiber.
It's opaque silk, possibly a blend, with metallic to the weave, lustrous and slightly stiff, measuring 6.27 yards x 45.5 inches. Likely 1960s or 70s.
Condition is excellent, with mild irregularities to the weave of the knotted ends.
