Incredibly fine handiwork in micro embroidery! This lot includes two 1950s handkerchiefs in superbly sewn ultra fine embroidered cotton, unbelievably small-scale in delicate details on sheer white lawn. One hanky has a cluster of spring flowers, and the other shows crimson red wild poppies. Both handkerchiefs have hand-rolled hems and their original European tags, priced $2.98 and $3.98, and they arrive in the original 50s gift box. From a European imports shop that closed in the early 60s.
