This exceptional 1940s suit is plush velveteen with details reminiscent of the 1910s. It's solid black with lovely tailoring, likely custom made by n expert tailor. The hacking style jacket has a high shawl lapel and rounded hem, lower in back for a stylish silhouette, and fully lined with lovely hand-finishing. Matching skirt has a chic A-line with slight fullness in back where it's neatly pleated. Because it's 40s era, it is not as modest in coverage as a WWI era suit would be.
