Dashing Black 1940s Hat with Asymmetric Silhouette - Fine Straw 40s Rare Millinery from I. Magnin - Post WWII Finery - Hollywood Provenance

Marvelous post-WWII era 1940s hat, lightweight and summery despite its all-black design. Has a smartly askew silhouette, asymmetric with a dashing style. The brim has a folded over 'tab' at wearer's right, holding a rich band of pleated black nylon tulle, which continues round the crown with a knotted pair of tails to the back. From the estate of Hollywood starlet Gladys Glad.
