Like spun gold! The chartreuse yellow hue of this sharkskin coat absolutely glows with vintage splendor, in reflective (almost metallic) tints woven in fine quality silk. It's a lightweight open front coat with a New Look silhouette to the wing lapel and big jaunty cuffs, reminiscent of a very posh mid-century Lucy style. Fully lined in taffeta with hidden pockets at the side seams.

Condition Detail
Lovely condition overall, the wing lapel has been meticulously patched with two symmetric self panels at the front, these are expertly hand-sewn in place and could be left just as they are, or covered with a new lapel if you preferred; underneath the back collar are a few more expertly sewn repairs that are invisible when worn; the back edge of the collar is just a bit threadbare and there are very subtle repairs to the silk at the top of right shoulder and at the angled seam of both under arms, these are hard to notice and not a detraction, though they indicate the silk is relatively fragile compared to when it was new
