This 1940s debutante gown is a special find in rosebud cotton plaid, sheer and sweet with a slim, youthful fit. It's an early 40s sun dress style with a box-pleated collar, tiered full skirt, and white lace trims. The dress has a lithe fit to the bodice, drop-waist seam and full taffeta facing.

Condition is clean and freshly washed, the underarms have a mere hint of yellowing from perspiration, very hard to perceive and not noticed when worn; the skirt has two tiny dark brown dots that are hardly noticed amidst the fullness, with 3-4 penpoint holes near the hem and a 2-inch repaired tear nearby, all very minor; the zipper is functional but three teeth are missing in different points along the zipper
Washing Instructions
Dry clean; or cold hand wash, shape and dry flat, press cotton on medium-high setting and press taffeta on low-medium setting
