1940s brocade robe from World War II period, probably a Pacific theater souvenir for a sweetheart at home! This 40s rayon wrap front robe is unworn but in fair condition from storage over decades. It has a scalloped lapel, long sleeves with scalloped cuffs, and its original self tie belt with tassel ends. Fully lined. See Condition Detail below for flaws.

Shows obvious flaws from storage - exterior has beige discolor at back of collar and along shoulders, obvious large areas of heavy fade primarily to outsides of sleeves and sides of skirt (see fifth and sixth photos for example), lining has many small holes throughout and liquid lines from water damage to the skirt, beginnings of abrasion at skirt hem, overall a salvage item or perhaps useful for theatre / costume
