1950s novelty pillow case depicts a colorfully dressed man in sombrero and gauchos with his fruit laden donkey. Has a cheerful feel to the South American scene, with fruity hued embroidery, zig zag accents, and flower borders.

It measures 14 x 16 inches (nearly square). It's a natural hued cotton muslin with one side open to receive stuffing. Made from a kit in the 50s. Embroidery colors are pinks, orange, saffron yellow, spearmint green, blue, black.

Condition shows tan and beige age spots, some from oil/food, approx 15-18 in total, the most noticeable one is the large beige mark shown on back side of pillow. The embroidery has 2-3 loose areas in the grass. The kit's dotted stitching line shows on one side near a seam.
