1930s black velvet coat with fine Chantilly lace trim, a luxurious find for a formal affair. This exquisitely made wrap style coat has a dramatic frill of French style lace at the plunge neckline, continuing along the front closure to the hem, with matching lace flares at the wrists. The silhouette is a gorgeous fit & flare design, fully lined in silk organza. Note that this coat is difficult to date... there are suggestions of late 1930s to early 40s era, as well as hints that it might be 1950s or 60s era as well.
