1930s 1940s Cocoa Brown Purse - Chic 30s 40s Fur Felt Clutch Handbag with Floral Metal Rings & Cinched Design - Chic Lewis Collector Bag

Exceptional brown clutch purse from the late 1930s to early 40s, specially designed by Lewis with brassy metal rings that cinch the top and create two coy "tails" to either end. It has pleated gathers along the top edge and a roomy elongated shape, worn under the arm as a clutch. The interior is brown satin with pockets rimmed in gold, has its original coin purse, and an extra purse-sized comb & mirror is included.

Condition Detail
Looks and feels terrific, barely worn, the color of the bag at its center seems very slightly ruddy compared to the color of the top and ends, this is so subtle it looks shadow-like or possibly due to the color of the interlining, hard to perceive when carried; the coin purse is no longer attached to the bag (it was on a chain) and it has a 1 x 1/4 inch liquid mark, the comb and mirror are vintage but not original to the bag
