An exceptional find! This 1990s black cocktail dress looks and feels remarkably like a 1940s design, very Jacques Fath with its flaring velvet peplum and broad cocked cuffs. It's a beautifully tailored dress with a velvet panel to the center front, a nipped waist and straight skirt. Carefully finished by hand and lined through the skirt in silk satin.
