Size 4 Antique Dress - 1910s Titanic Era Silk Crepe Frock - Exquisite Ivory Bone Afternoon Gown with Sailor Collar & Shirring - Waist 25

Gorgeous 1910s Titanic era dress in two different looks, created by a detachable square collar. The dress alone is a wrap-style surplice bodice with a sumptuous shirred waist. The dress is fluid, thin silk, almost a Grecian effect when worn without the collar. With the jaunty collar added, it has a winsome effect for a young lady of the era. Has bell sleeves with tucked details above the lace hem, matching the broad tuck of the full skirt. It's beautifully made with rich gathers and French seams, obviously of lovely quality.

Condition Detail
Feels sturdy though antique silk is generally known to be fragile, the bodice (under the collar) has four areas of obvious brown marks (see photos) that would be hidden when the collar is added, or could be restored by adding lace over the marks; back bodice has approx 8-10 faint beige dapples at far right; sleeves each have 3-4 similar scant specks that aren't easily noticed when worn; skirt has one 1/8-inch hole that has to be sought out, and two similar sized brown marks at far left low on skirt; square collar has a tiny hole at top left shoulder and two faint beige specks to back

Washing Instructions
If necessary, clean by hand, using a dry cleaner with experience in antique clothing
