Authentic 1920s flapper dress with avant garde style! This black silk satin cocktail is a sleek column with sheer chiffon shoulder straps, and rows of pintucks to the chiffon skirt, almost cocoon-like in its tubular design. The skirt is a faux wrap with scallop edged ruffles to the left side and hidden underneath along the inner hem.

The silk looks and feels sturdy, though a 1920s era silk is generally only considered wearable with caution simply due to age; the left bodice has an old insert of silk satin at the side seam, this satin is brownish in color compared to the rest of the dress because of differences in dyes, could be removed or hidden and would make the dress fit approximately 2 inches smaller at bust and waist
