1950s Gray Lucite Handbag - Lewsid Jewel by Llewellyn - Rare 50s Box Bag - Modernist Marbleized Grey Plastic Purse - Rectangular Mid Century

A fabulous find from Llewellyn Lucite bags! This mid 1950s box purse is a misty marblelized gray hue with fluted half-spheres anchoring the sturdy see-through Lucite handle. It's a sleek rectangle with rounded edges, a moire` taffeta lining and a small pocket inside the lid with a lipstick-sized compartment at one end of the lining.

Condition Detail
Lucite is beautiful with a mild 1.5-inch surface scratch next to handle and 6-7 similarly mild scratches to underside; metal of hasp is obviously burnished to a ruddy brown; one of the two half-spheres has small gaps to a few of the fluted 'stripes' near their base, this is a factory flaw and hard to notice unless carefully inspected; overall very wearable
