Large 1940s Peasant Skirt - Size 12 Red Cotton Dirndl Style Folk Full Skirt with Embroidered Border Pattern - 40s 50s Casual - Waist 31
$ 79.99
Charming 1940s peasant skirt is cherry red cotton with folk style embroidery & mirrored discs, specially done in a bold cheerful border pattern. This red full skirt has neat gathers into a fitted waistband, with starburst embroidery dotting the fullness of the cotton. The origin is not known, though there are hints of both India and Eastern Europe to the fabric, embroidery, and mirrored details. The date is also approximate, though the colors are classic to 40s folkwear imported for the Western market.
