A Marilyn worthy bombshell dress! It's so sexy from 1950s Italy in svelte black jersey knit, with a draped goddess style bodice and a gorgeous hourglass silhouette. It has hand-finished gathers along the scoop neckline and armholes, with a broad asymmetric swag across the torso, ruched at the left waist, and draping as a fall to the left skirt. The back of the dress is fitted and gather-less, a coy contrast to the heavily draped front. Fully faced in carefully constructed black faille, with tailored bust cups and an interior grosgrain petersham at the waist. A heavenly find from 50s deadstock.
