Size 4 1940s Black Dress As Is - Sheer Lingerie Dress with Illusion Lace - WWII 40s Rayon - Gorgeous Style Fair Poor Condition - Waist 25

Airy-light and dramatically beautiful, this 1940s lingerie dress is an exceptional find, unfortunately as is (see Condition Detail below). It has a cap-sleeved bodice in sheer and illusion-lined lace panels, with a full bust and fitted waist seam. The flared sheer skirt has tight gathers to the waist. A rare and lovely 40s dress, possibly a restoration candidate.

Barely worn at most, many holes due to pest damage as follows: approx 20-25 small holes to bodice primarily at shoulders (one in lace shoulder) and two about 1/4-inch each at front bodice, skirt has similar small holes occasionally and a large cluster of obvious holes at center front hip about 10 x 10 inches in total, all noticeable; technically wearable but would require caution as rayon holes are fragile
