Size 4 Wedding Dress - Glamorous 1950s Silk Bombshell Bridal Gown with Exquisite Beadwork - Small Fitted Gown - NWT - Bust 34.5 - 31788

$ 749.99

An incredibly glamorous dress! This exquisite find is late 50s/early 60s and just as appropriate for the red carpet as the wedding day. It has a scoop neckline, lower in back with curling lines of looped fringe & embroidery at the neckline. This beadwork continues uninterrupted along the bust, torso and then along the train. It has pairs of darts for an hourglass silhouette and a fitted skirt with a single slit at center back.

The train is a simplistic extension of the back of the dress, in a panel that separates from the side seams beginning at the level of the waist, but it is not a separate piece. If you look at the back of the dress, you are looking at the "train panel". It hides a center back walking slit that is underneath, in a separate layer from the back skirt. It functions as a train because it stands away from the wearer a bit, though it's subtle compared to a traditional train.

It was once shown in a bridal shop that opened in 1957. Its original $300.00 tag is attached from about fifty years ago... this would be over $2,700 in today's dollars!
