Old World grandeur in a stately satin evening gown, so beautiful for a most formal occasion. This ivory satin dress was made by Elizabeth Arden in the finest materials, outlined in exquisite Asian figural brocade ribbon along the Empire waist seam. It has a graceful V-neck front and back, buttoned at the bust, with deep pleats at the back shoulder and 3/4-length sleeves. The torso has vertical darts and the skirt is lavishly full, with pleats to center back. This late 1950s formal dress has an angelic, elegant presence with a Renaissance style.

Barely worn at most, freshly dry cleaned; the ribbon is very carefully and meticulously sewn to the dress, though we wonder if it might be a vintage addition (it could be removed); the upper left shoulder has a scant hint of tanning seen as a minuscule series of specks, a few similar specks in random places to the front skirt, these are so tiny and scant that they are hard to notice
