From the era of war brides and sweetheart styles, this 1940s bridal gown has a fitted bodice with rich gathers framing the bust and an invert-V waist panel. Has a high curved V-neck and ruched panels to the sides waist with V-point wrists. The classic full skirt has a huge formal seven-foot train.

This is a project gown, fabric is sturdy, has mild but widespread yellowing throughout, some large light yellow liquid areas to right front and side hem, occasional obvious rust marks throughout, one at front waist and many throughout back skirt and train, an odd triangle-shaped line of stitching to right back next to the armhole seam, ideal for display/costume unless it's cleaned and then carefully reworked to cover these problems
