Red gingham dress has a 1950s girl-next-door appeal, made later for a swing dance costume. This sheer gingham frock has bell-like flutter sleeves, a fitted bodice, and full sheer skirt with ruffle hem. Matching petticoat makes the skirt opaque, with tiers of gingham tipped ruffles to the hem. Original self buckle-front belt included. An adorable style, made in the late 1960s or 70s, with a great style for stage.

Dress looks and feels excellent to the outside, the petticoat's muslin is yellowed with a few beige marks that would be hidden when worn, the elastic at waist of petticoat is not functional and can be rigged to cinch the waist, but would need to be pinned to hold it (or replace the elastic), belt's buckle fabric is noticeably frayed
Washing Instructions
Warm gentle machine or hand wash, tumble dry until damp, press on low-medium setting
